Chianti Classico Riserva Pieve di Campoli DOCG

One of the winery's most commercially successful wines, award-winning in several vintages and with a more international slant given the presence alongside Sangiovese of Merlot.
The area of origin of the grapes is the area of Campoli, San Donato in Poggio and for the French variety the vineyards of Molinuzzo and Cortine.

Product Description.

Appellation: Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG
Production area: municipalities of San Casciano val di Pesa and Barberino Tavarnelle
Vineyard elevation: between 300 mt and 350 mt
Harvest: mid-September for the Merlot, first ten days of October for the Sangiovese, harvested entirely by hand
Vinification: in cement tanks with maceration on the skins 25 days
Aging: 14 months in French wood tonneau, subsequent 6 months in bottle
Alcohol content: 13.5% vol.

Tasting notes:
garnet red in color, the nose has a complex bouquet where hints of ripe red fruit, floral and spicy notes predominate.More complex scents reminiscent of leather, tobacco also emerge in succession.On the palate it reveals itself structured, balanced and soft in the mouth, fresh, tannic, very persistent in the aftertaste.
